On 12 December 1969, terrorist bombs went off in Italy.
17 people were killed in what was known as the Piazza Fontana massacre.
These bombings teach us about terrorism.
The bombings were the start of a long series of terror attacks known as "the strategy of tension". (BBC 1969: Deadly bomb blasts in Italy)
"Their aim was to prevent the country falling into the hands of the left -wing by duping the public into believing the bombings were part of a communist insurgency." (BBC 1969: Deadly bomb blasts in Italy)
In other words, the idea was to keep the rich fascist elite in power.
In the case of Italy, the rich elite can mean rich fascist freemasons, and rich fascist oligarchs, and rich Mafia dons.
The strategy of tension was part of the CIA and NATO's Operation Gladio.
Paolo Emilio Taviani, formerly Italy's Minister of Defense and Minister of the Interior, declared in an August 2000: "It seems to me certain that agents of the CIA were among those who supplied the materials and who muddied the waters of the investigation." (Piazza Fontana bombing: Facts.)
In 1998, David Carrett, an officer in the U.S. Navy, was indicted by a Milanese magistrate, on a charge of participating in the 1969 Piazza Fontana bombing. (Cached)
The judge also opened a case against Sergio Minetto, an Italian official of the US-NATO intelligence network.
Thirty years after the Piazza Fontana massacre, during a trial of right-wing extremists, General Giandelio Maletti, former head of Italian counter-intelligence, stated that the massacre had been carried out by the Italian stay-behind army and right wing terrorists on the orders of the CIA.
The Gladio secret armies, 'the Stay Behind Groups', were outed in August 1990 when Italian Prime Minister Andreotti confirmed the existence of Operation Gladio, a group within the security services, that had been manipulating the public with terrorist acts. http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0210-22.htm
One of Gladio’s operatives said, “You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the Italian public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security.” http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0210-22.htm
Bologna, which tells us about CIA-NATO fascism.
The worst terrorist attack in Italy was in 1980, when a bomb went off in a train station, in Bologna, killing 85 people.
According to the Italian Senate, after its investigation of the Bologna massacre in 2000, the bombers were "men inside Italian state institutions and ... men linked to the structures of United States intelligence."
Four Italian fascists, allegedly with links to the security services of Italy and the USA, fled to Britain.
They were tried in their absence in Italy, found guilty and sentenced to long terms of imprisonment. The Italian government tried to have the four extradited.
Britain would not hand them over.
The four lived openly in London.(Source : The Intelligence Game by James Rusbridger)
Licio Gelli, the 'fascist' grandmaster of the P" masonic lodge. Reportedly, the CIA's Operation Gladio created P2, sometimes referred to as a "state within a state" or a "shadow government". The lodge had among its members prominent journalists, members of parliament, industrialists, and military leaders—including Silvio Berlusconi
In connection with the bombings in Italy, a number of secret service agents were put on trial in Italy in 1974, but all were acquitted in 1985 following numerous trials and appeals.
A new trial opened in 1999 after a Milan judge, Guido Salvini, claimed to have discovered the real bombers.
Three neo-fascists, Delfo Zorzi, Carlo Maria Maggi, and Carlo Rognoni were sentenced to life imprisonment but the decision was overturned on appeal in March 2004.
The CIA's James Jesus Angleton was one of the founders of Operation Gladio and the strategy of tension.
Reportedly, "Angleton had an alliance with ... the Mafia, dating from 1944 when he was an O.S.S. officer in Italy.
"'Operation Gladio' ... was based on Angleton's fascist-Mafia connections, and employed ... the Mafia to assassinate some who couldn't be bribed, e.g. Prime Minster Aldo Moro." (Cached)
"The Gladio personnel created a parallel government called P2 (Propaganda Duo), a neo-fascist Masonic Lodge composed of most of the country's top military officers, political leaders, industrialists, bankers, and diplomats.
Michael Ledeen is a neoconservative Zionist and a former employee of the Pentagon, the State Department and the National Security Council.
Peter Chamberlin has written NEOCONSERVATISM - FASCIST ZIONISM and he links Ledeen to:
1. The fascist false-flag terrorism in Italy associated with Operation Gladio and the Strategy of Tension. (aangirfan: The Bologna Bomb 1980, Gladio, terrorism in Europe)
2. The Niger yellow cake forged documents.
3. The Iran/contra affair.
4. The events of 9 11.
"Ledeen... was a student of fascism in Italy, where he acquired his beliefs for his book 'Universal Fascism' (fascism with the anti-Semitic components removed)...
"Ledeen's links to Italian fascism extended to his association with the 'strategy of tension' and the creative use of terrorism and false flag-type operations (Operation Gladio) to use fear to manipulate public opinion, in order to achieve their fascist dominated world.
"Ledeen is the one hardcore Zionist/fascist who appears to link the neocon conspiracy to the secret government rogue network associated with the Iran/contra conspirators. Ledeen's connections with these Italian fascist false flag operations and the Iran/contra secret government group makes him a prime candidate as one of the principle organizers of the 9/11 parallel attack operation."
" Ledeen, along with Wolfowitz, Feith and Perle, had been named by former Sec. Defense Caspar Weinberger as part of the 'X Committee,' which was under investigation for allegedly passing top secret intelligence to Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard.
"Ledeen's Zionist/fascist views had been shaped by George Mosse, 'a German Jewish emigré, who had been on good terms with such Nazi leaders as Joseph Goebbels and Herman Goering... who would become Ledeen's teacher at the University of Wisconsin, taught that...Western countries had been suffocated and could only be revived through Fascism or Nazism...'"
