Is it possible that the British public no longer believe the police when it comes to terrorism?

There has only been one trial in connection with the 7 July London bombings.

On 1 August 2008, the jury in this trial failed to find the three accused guilty of any crime.

(Jury dismissed in 7/7 plot trial)( July 7 terror attacks: Bomb plot trial collapses)

Waheed Ali, 25, Sadeer Saleem, 28, and Mohammed Shakil, 32, all from Leeds, had been accused of helping the alleged 7 July bombers.

All three had spent time in training camps in Pakistan. All three attended the same mosques, gyms and community organisations as Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer and Hasib Hussain, the alleged July 7 bombers.

All three said their trip to London had nothing to do with terrorism, but was to allow one of them to visit family and to take in a little tourism.

The prosecution is expected to seek a retrial.
